As Part of Area 3 European Link, a group of 41 members and their wives went to Bremahaven to enjoy their hospitality.  Here they met with French couples they had previously met the year before in Blois, France.

A Group of  members Mumbles 41 Club have improved European relations and succeeded in enjoying the weekend without getting deported.

What a place !!  The French people were very friendly and hospitable.

Lot's and lot's of French cuisine and wine!!! - followed by more wine, food and champagne.

We had a silver service lunch at the Chateau de Chambord , dinner at a 5* converted barn which was fabulous (caviar, champagne etc) followed by a dance, brunch at a Hunting Lodge in the countryside, with a display by French Horn blowers in full hunting regalia,  wine-tasting at a country vineyard , and a candlelight dinner in the wine cellar of Jean-Claude (one of our hosts) surrounded by 3,000 bottles of wine of different vintages . We drank 40 year old wine, vintage Beaujolais ,etc. worth about £1000 !!!!!

AREA 3—South Wales

Ian Faull attended a meeting held at Remich sur Moselle, Luxembourg on Sunday March 10 2002 and Euro 3 Club was established comprising Ex Tablers Clubs in Region 3s in Great Britain and Ireland, France, Denmark and Germany.

An agreement was signed by Ian representing Ex Tablers` Clubs Great Britain and Ireland, Daniel Jacquin representing Club 41 Francais, Henrik Sorensen representing Ex Tablers Danmark and Jurgen Boom representing Old Tablers Deutschland. In attendance at the meeting and signing were Franck Venables IRO of Region 3 Club 41 Francais, who should be creditited for having the idea following a chance meeting with Jurgen Boom`s wife and for setting the process in motion, Bernard Rey, Vice President of Region 3 Club 41 Francais, Carsten Flink, National President Ex Tablers Danmark and Michael Dalbo Pederson, International Vice President Elect.

It is intended that meetings will be held on an annual basis, hosted in sequence by France, Germany, Denmark and Great Britain and Ireland. This first twinning of Regions will add a new and exciting dimension to 41 Club`s international relationships
